O Sweet Tomato, I Hardly Knew Yee

I helped my father plant his vegetable garden, and then watched as cool and rainy weather took hold, and the tomato plants became more and more sickly. According to this New York Times article, most of the Northeast has been hit. The weather and big box stores which sold blighted plants to home gardeners seem to be the two big culprits.

Luckily, I am not dependent upon what I can grow for my annual food supply. The Local Harvest website allows you to search for farmer's markets, farms, CSA’s, etc. in your area. Maybe I can find some what I expect will be costly, but un-blighted tomatoes.
